Throughout the season our robots outtake has gone through many iterations, each one better than the last. Below are our verisons of our shooting mechanism.
This was our first outtake. It was helpful for testing the other parts but not as much on its own. With this cardboard outtake we were able to figure out the design we wanted for the final version.
This was a design based off of our cardboard prototype. It had an adjustable hood so that we were able to adjust how high the ball goes. We went into our first competition with this and it ended up malfunctioning so we swapped it after that.
This outtake used a flywheel to move the artifacts from the intake to the outtake and then launch them. To get it in position we had arms to lift the artifacts up, then the flywheel would catch them and launch them. we used this design in the second and third competitions.
this is the current outtake that we are working on. this outtake will be able to spin separate from the robot. this outtake has an adjustable hood and a flywheel to launch the artifacts.
